1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the PickleCue mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. PickleCue is operated by ANSI Corporation (“PickleCue,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Use of the App

  • You must create an account to use most features of PickleCue.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account and maintaining your profile.
  • Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to evade blocks, bans, or other restrictions is prohibited.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share through PickleCue, including messages, reviews, game descriptions, and profile information (“User Content”).

By posting User Content, you grant PickleCue a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your content within the App and related services for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

We reserve the right to moderate, review, and remove any User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior; users who engage in it may be removed.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Spam other users with unsolicited messages, invitations, or promotions.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
  • Use the App for any illegal activity or to facilitate illegal conduct.
  • Attempt to circumvent safety features including blocks, mutes, or account restrictions.
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the App through automated means.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

PickleCue offers optional premium subscriptions (“PickleCue Pro”) with additional features.

  • Subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit 2. All billing and payment processing is handled by Apple.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are managed by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • We do not store or process any payment information directly.
  • A PickleCue Pro subscription is linked to the single PickleCue account that purchased it. It cannot be used across multiple PickleCue accounts, even on the same device or Apple ID. If you delete your account, the link is released; a still-active Apple subscription can then be re-associated with a new account by restoring purchases, after the purchase is verified with Apple. Only one account may hold a given subscription at a time.

6. Events, Live Scores & Physical Activity

PickleCue lets players and organizers create and run games, leagues, and tournaments (“Events”).

  • Organizers, not PickleCue, run Events. Organizers may set their own rules, require registration information, and require liability waivers. PickleCue provides the platform and is not a party to arrangements between organizers and participants.
  • Scorekeepers. Organizers may designate a scorekeeper (via an invite code or QR) to keep score on their behalf. Scorekeepers must record scores accurately; participants may rate a scorekeeper after the match, and ratings are submitted anonymously to the person rated.
  • Live scores are visible to spectators. When you participate in a live-scored match, your display name or team label, avatar, and scores may be shown in real time to other users and to spectators who open a share link or QR code — including people without a PickleCue account. Final results may remain visible as part of Event records.
  • You play at your own risk. Pickleball is a physical activity. You are solely responsible for ensuring you are fit to participate and for your own safety at courts and Events. PickleCue does not inspect courts or supervise play.

7. Intellectual Property

The PickleCue name, logo, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of PickleCue and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Court location data is sourced in part from OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL).

8. Privacy

Your use of PickleCue is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if we determine that your use poses a risk to other users or the platform.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the App. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

PickleCue is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of court data, user-generated content, or any other information provided through the App.

11. Third-Party Events, Links & Content

Our website and the App may include information about, or links to, events, tournaments, leagues, venues, organizations, and websites operated by others. We may promote community and charity events as a service to the pickleball community.

Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, PickleCue does not organize, host, operate, sponsor, or manage these events. Registration, ticketing, payments, refunds, cancellations, scheduling, staffing, safety, insurance, and every other aspect of a third-party event are the sole responsibility of that event’s organizer. Any transaction you enter into with a third party is solely between you and that third party.

Naming or promoting a third-party event, organization, or website does not create or imply an endorsement, partnership, affiliation, or sponsorship in either direction unless expressly stated. Third-party names and trademarks referenced on our website or in the App remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the relevant event or organization.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices. When you follow a link away from PickleCue, that site’s own terms and privacy policy govern your use of it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PickleCue is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your participation in, attendance at, registration for, or reliance on information about a third-party event.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PickleCue and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version within the App or on our website. The “Effective” date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
